Ceri Smith (Bookkeeper)

Ceri joined RFA in February 2012, and her role is to assist the officers of the board by preparing the accounts of the charity and acting as clerk to the board.
Ceri is also employed as Contracts and Compliance Manager by the Co-operative College.Her role at the College is very varied, ranging from monitoring contracts and auditing the College’s quality system processes, to organising study visits for international visitors and writing blogs.
Her previous work experience is in events management, followed by 14 years working in social housing management, where she specialised in quality management systems and accreditation, and was seconded to the Cabinet Office as a Charter Mark Assessor. She was also Chair of a housing charity for 5 years, and was a representative on the Housing Corporation’s Equality and Career Opportunities Forum (COFEM). Ceri studied Business Management at Manchester Metropolitan University, where she gained a post-graduate diploma in Management Studies.
She also has qualifications in teaching, quality auditing and energy management. In her spare time Ceri’s activities include being an elected member of the Executive of NACO, the National Association of Co-operative Officials (the trade union of Co-operative managers) , a trustee of Radclyffe Co-operative Learning Trust, and a member of the Co-operative Group’s Ladies’ Choir, The Co-operettes.
